About Horshoe QRAB
The History of Southern Maryland Queer Recordings Archive Base, HSQRAB, or simply “Horseshoe Qrab” was founded by Lily Crunkleton in 2025. Seeing a lack of historical data about Queer people living in Southern Maryland, she decided to change that, and just started talking and recording. These first round of interviews are now in the process of being transcribed and uploaded to Digital Maryland.
What started out small has grown into a 501 (c) Non-profit that is looking to expand into other projects. HSQRAB is for allowing Queer people to tell their own stories in their own way, demanding our inclusion into the archive. Our mission is to preserve, promote and celebrate the Queer history of Southern Maryland.
